How to Draw Popular Building, Eiffel Tower - Step-by-Step Guide

    Who doesn't know the Eiffel Tower? Surely almost everyone knows it. The Eiffel Tower is the most popular building in France and one of the most popular buildings in the world. In 1789, this tower was constructed to mark the centennial of the French Revolution. Gustave constructed this tower, which has a remarkable structural design. However, how do you draw this extraordinary building structure on a piece of paper? 

Tools I Used:

• Paper size: A5 (148 x 210 mm)
• Drawing pen: 0.03
• Pencil: B
• Ruler: straight ruler (20 cm) and shape ruler
• Eraser

1. Step 1

    Draw 2 slanted rectangles 4 cm apart, with a length of 2.7 cm and a width of 1 cm. Fill in the 2 rectangles by adding 2 X-shaped lines. Draw horizontal lines from right to left at the top ends of the 2 rectangles. Fill in the area with X-shaped. Draw curved semicircles below the horizontal lines you created. Draw vertical lines at the top, and draw half circles at the end. Draw the line upwards with the top end narrower. Divide the part into 3 parts, for 2 parts, draw 2 X-shaped lines. Draw a rectangular shape on top, and draw the lines vertically. Draw 2 flags on the right and left sides. 

2. Step 2

    Draw the line upwards, the top end is narrower than the bottom end. Divide the part into 2 parts, and draw 2 X-shaped lines. For the tip of the tower, make a shape like in the picture above, and draw 3 long circles above it. Add a flag above it. 

3. Step 3

    Thick the lines with a 0.03 drawing pen. Shade certain parts as in the picture above.
